~ DID YOU KNOW . . . ~

~ . . . there is enough information in just a pinhead of our DNA to fill book volumes reaching to the moon and 500 times past.

~ . . . the core of the sun is a scorching 27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Though the sun is 93,000,000 miles from Earth, sunlight is our main source of energy.

~ . . . energy leaves the sun at a total of 5,000,000 TONS of matter per second. . . day after day, year after year. The sun gives off more energy in one second than man has produced since Adam and Eve.

~ . . . the amount of energy that we have on Earth is only 1 billionth of the amount of energy that’s coming from the sun. Over 1 million earth’s would fit inside the sun; yet our sun is an average size star.

~ . . . scientists estimate 100 billion stars in our own Milky Way Galaxy; in deeper space they estimate 100 billion more GALAXIES.

~ . . . Arcturus is the 4th brightest star in the night sky; yet, being 200 trillion miles away, the orange giant is visible to the naked eye. Arcturus is 100 times brighter than our sun, with a radius 20 times greater than the sun. Arcturus is small compared to the super giant, Betelgeuse.

~ . . . a reddish star, Betelgeuse, has a radius 600 times that of our sun and shines a remarkable 60,000 times brighter than the sun. And yet, even Betelgeuse is still not the largest star in our galaxy: several giant stars have a radius even 1,500 times that of our sun.

~ . . . our sun produces, in one second, more energy than a billion major cities could produce in a year. Imagine all those stars, many of them much larger than our own sun . . . imagine – if you can – all the energy in the universes. (And the Bible humbly describes their creation with the simple verse “And God created the stars, also.”)

~ . . . the soul never sleeps. While the physical body rests in deep slumber, the soul, which has laid claim to its rightful heritage of perfection through Christ Jesus, maintains an active life. Often it is just to sit before the Lord learning and healing, or just strengthening itself for return upon its form’s awakening. There are also those times that work must be done and that in which our soul was formed to participate is undertaken with great passion and fervor. Much is accomplished in that short time. It is natural to desire consciousness of what work is being done in those quiet times, but seldom do we get even a glimpse. Comforting it is to know that when the body sleeps for good, we simply slip into the work that had been our true life in Christ Jesus.

~ . . . when right choices are made, even through the temptation of using worldly craftiness and methods instead, the entire universe moves on our behalf, causing miracles – small and large – to happen throughout the day. It is an autonomic process set into motion by God during creation, even as the law of gravity and breathing. To choose to make those right decisions without expecting anything in return, because you know it already so deeply within, is the ultimate of learning to live as Christ lived: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” You ask: ‘How DO you ‘seek ye first?’ I say: ‘One decision at a time.’ You ask: ‘What IS the ‘kingdom of God?’ I say: ‘GOD’s way of doing things.’ Thus: “In each and every decision and choice, seek to do things God’s way.” It is that simple. . . not easy, but so simple.

~ . . . every existing thing shares the same original one atom. From it we came and return to it we will.

~ . . . every living thing has within it a complete world of its own and the miracles of human body alone cannot be fully explained in terms of comprehension. The autonomic process alone was set into place by our Divine God, as a gift, and cannot be scrutinized into details or dissected by any kind of expert on earth.

~ . . . the average heart beats 75 times per minute and that in its pattern of ‘pulse, rest, pulse, rest’ by the time it reaches age 50 it has ‘rested’ 30 years.  Such an magnificent example God has given us of the ‘Sabbath’ He intended for us in all areas of our lives!

~ . . . beaver have fur on their teeth in the winter.
